Our story

Why Naps & Wrangles?

I started Naps & Wrangles because I grew up surrounded by hair culture. When I was young, my mother made sure I always had an appointment with my aunt, a hairstylist, who taught me the importance of caring for my hair. Sitting in her salon, I saw women, men, and kids from all backgrounds come together for the same reason: to feel confident, cared for, and proud of how they looked.

Over the years, my aunt shared tips and techniques that stayed with me, while my mother encouraged me to keep learning and started my shea butter obsession. From trips to the beauty supply store to researching products and ingredients, I developed a genuine passion for understanding hair and how to care for it properly.

As I got older, I found myself sharing that knowledge with friends, family, and anyone looking for guidance. What started as a hobby became something I truly loved: a way to help people feel more confident caring for their hair at home. But I always wondered why there wasn’t a place where everyone could receive reliable information and track their hair journey. That question became Naps & Wrangles.

Naps & Wrangles was created to be a place where everyone feels welcome. Whether your hair is straight, wavy, curly, or coily, you deserve access to information that helps you understand your texture, discover products that work for you, and explore styles and trends that fit your needs.

This space is my love letter to the hair community and the cultures that have shaped it. My goal is simple: no strand left behind. 😊

You’ll find honest routines, product reviews, tested styles, and stories from our community. Oh, and the shea butter I make by hand for my own hair, in case you want some too.

Healthy hair is for everyone. Welcome home.
